About Captured Timber

I’m Aaron Zwirn, a woodworker and sharpener based in Oxnard, California. I specialize in various woodworking

and precision blade sharpening.

I’m currently studying in the fine woodworking program at Cerritos College, where I’m developing and deepening my skills in both traditional and modern techniques. I’ve also trained with Hitachiya USA, focusing on traditional Japanese sharpening methods and the care of all blades.

I prioritize careful craftsmanship, attention to detail, and respect for the materials and tools.
