Secondary bevel will then be polished on a leather strop by hand to ensure that no burr remains and to ensure that the apex is fully polished. The back of the blade will be flattened on a Japanese whetstone. All blades are meticulously inspected with a loupe throughout the sharpening process to ensure the apex is fully formed and to ensure that no burr remains.
